Welcome back fans and friends, what a great feeling to be one again with Husker nation. I can't think of anything better than game week , the ol Gator Bowl leaves a good taste in my mouth still. What an offseason..........
Well, I guess you could say we have had some ups and downs,,,,,,Q Castille.......damn. I mean this guy was just coming into his own,and he was primed for a big year, just to let us all down...........(frown). I wish he could have gotten the ship rightened but then again, it sounded pretty clear that he had violated policy one too many times...
Rex Burkhead.....well I have heard som many things about this kid, he is good, no great. He is the next Barry Sanders..etc. Hell, I heard that he even lifted a school buss off a family of kittens on a fourth and two in practice. I believe every word of it.
Mr Namamakongosudophedrine Suh. This guy is starting to get so hyped there is little to no way he can live up to it. He is awesome, but not to the point that he is a top 5 player at the school, but how many people think he is at that level, lots of us. Just sit back and watch, and like Pelini said this week, Jared Krick is probably the guy to watch, not much attention coming his way this year.
MY MANDATORY 3 observations.....
1) Coach Bo. -- This guy is bitter, he has been bitter all year. I cannot believe he has not pulled a Tom Cable and dropped Eckler at practice yet. He has been anything but press friendly so far, fulfilling his obligations yes, but several one word answers. Last time I saw a guy this bitter is when Wally was told that the Library Lounge was closing its doors. I would suggest for him to lighten up, but I think a pissed of Pelini is much more dangerous to Offensive Coordinators. I am marking this as a plus.
2)Zac Lee, he is supposed to be as talented of a guy Shawn Watson has seen. Well according to your history, he has to be better than Bobby Pesavento from CU a few years back, but Zack Taylor or Joey Ganz? c'mon, his only job is to do exactly what Jamall Lord was good at, dont turn the ball over. Lee should hug that ball like Flavor Flav does hood rats. I just hope he does not try to be Sam Keller and underimpress everyone for 3 months before Cody green gets good.
3)Fla Atlantic -- Is it just me or does Howard Schnellenberger look like Captain Kangaroo?????

Tailgate starts at about 9 or 10, should be fun. Get a babysitter and wear something pretty , I smell winning football.
Good to be back.

Hey Husker fans,
tough week last Saturday night. We left a game on the field , gift wrapped a win for Beemer-ball and left thinking what was. Well, I can say that we got the effot that we had lacked for years and showed some heart but too little too late, harsh bummer man.
Well this week we face the great Booger Master, Chase Daniel and the Tiggers. They come in with a number 3 rank and all the fanfare we expected. It should be fun this week. I still feel sick about last week but we must move on.......

Well, Mizzou has not had much luck in town over the last 40 years, but hey, whos counting!!
My Mandatory Three Observations............
1) Chase Daniel. He is very good, and flat out scary if given time. He is a Heisman frontrunner and rightfully so. To beat them, we will have to disrupt him, keep him pressing, and take away his tight end. Not to mention hit him. That will be tough Husker fan, I am curious to see how Coach Bo will attack him, becasue guess what, we will attack him. I would like to think that Chase Daniel is actually David Copperfield, who has all kinds of wizardry and magic, and then Lincoln is some kind of crazy type of cryptonite that kills unicorns and cotton candy, and would render him powerless in these situations. I guess that is some type of wishful thinking, or is it.....two years ago, King Booger never found the end-zone. My theory is probably correct.......slay the mighty unicorn......
2) Coach is a red-ass. that flag the other night was proof positive. I wonder if his office is padded walls laden with pictures of sunsets and rainforests to calm him down. That ref grew a tail the other night before he threw that flag, I am convinced the personal foul flag was like waving a cape at a bull in the ring, that ref just wanted to distract Bo long enough to get away so he didnt eat his face. what a bullshat call too. I hope you all saw the coaches show, Coach was sweating bullets trying to keep in his anger, probably chewing on raw Lion meat and rubbing sand in his eyes. I wonder what he would be like as a tee-ball coach. Probably bending bats over his knee in anticipation of a squeeze play. I love it. Really the effort by the boys and the passion on the field will get me through this rough year.
3) Stop it Mizzou fans. I have heard enough. All week I have read comments by fans noting that NU is no longer relevant in football, and that Mizzou is the new titan of the big 12. Lets talk about what you have ever done to lead the rest of the intelligent society to believe you are a "powerhouse". NOTHING. Have you ever won the conference. NO. Have you ever played in a BCS game. NO. Have you ever done anything relevant in the last 40 years, NOPE. So please stop it. You can say that we are hanging on the past, fine, maybe we are. But guess what, we have a past, we have tradition, accomplishments, trophies, etc. Your trophy case consists of a few skeet shooting invitationals and a soccer championship in 1981 where you won because the other teams bus broke down. FACT, you have two conference championships in ALL sports since the inception of the Big 12, NU has 13. Are you a very good team,,,,,YES. Do you have a great QB....ABSOFRICKINLOUTELY. However, I know Nebraska, I am good friends with Nebraska, and you good sir, are NO NEBRASKA. Do it for a few years, and then we can talk. by the way, once Chase Daniels leaves, all you will have left is Blaine Gabbert and Gary Pinkel, then what?
We all know about how much Chase likes to snack during a game, he is 225 mind you. Below you will find a timeless classic where the plot is such, ......"hey ma' whats fa dinner, go up ya nose , and pick a winner!"..........watch it a few times for effect.....
I like us to beat the spread, but it will be too tough to oversome as Missouri is good, MU 37 -NU 36. I do think an upset is very possible, hopefully we can rise to the occasion.......let have fun and cheer us to victory, hopefully, and a big upset

Hey all, are ya ready? What a glorious week of football this will be, great games and great times to be had. I can't hardly wait and I even washed a clean shirt for this weekend, lucky you ladies of the corn.
Well what can we say, Va Tech is a formidable opponent that is probably very comparable to our team. They have less proven talent at the skill positions, but I have a feeling they will be much more diciplined and fundemental than our squad. Kind of like Mandy Moore on a first date....by the book.
What are the key matchups, how can we move the ball, who will hold my hair after the game to keep me pretty.....all the burning questions. The short answer to all of them is I do not know, but I am excited.
This weeks tailgate food will be nice. Pulled pork shoulder. Yummy, glisten off the bone goodness that can only be homespun. Our good friends Todd and Toby of SofaKing Smokers was kind enough to start cooking this stuff on Thursday so it will be ridiculous by Saturday. They are called the SofaKings because the stuff is sofaking good........they are available for bahmitzfahs and church socials, etc......dont miss it...trust me.
My Mandatory Three Observations.....
1) Our D-line vs their O-line. I honestly think Zach 'Harry" Potter is having a great season, and he is playing ten times better than I thought he could. He is making plays and actually getting into the backfield every now and then, hell, last year, I thought he was playing with his ipod in, jamming to the Indigo Girls (probably becasue of COZ). This year he is playing like he poured battery acid on his face before kickoff and he probably feeds on a diet of fried baby kitties and broken ashtrays. Look for more of the same this week, I really like this guy. Also, Nadkogmakongathongeman Suh (sorry I dont have spell check) is absolutely going to reach his potential by the end of the season. I know that the O-line of VaTech, which is a salty group, will have their hands full. It should be nice to see more than one linebacker on the field this week too as the Hokies are not running a spread offense. I like our chances in the red-zone......
2) Tyrod Taylor or Sean Glennon? I am not sure who give the Hokies the best chance to win. Taylor has good feet but looks like Clay Aiken with the slant route. Glennon can string together drives when he is not hand gifting the football to the other team with a gift certificate to Bed Bath and Beyond. If I were a Hokie fan, I would not be happy with either guy, but both are good enough to win the ACC Beauty Contest. Taylor could have a big game vs the Skers if he usese his feet and not his brain.
3) Public Perception. What does the country think of this game? The answer is that they dont, and they dont want to see it. If we win, we probalby still wont crack the top 25. If VaTech wins, it is a bigger deal in that the ACC has a solid road win to back the team that will face Wake in the title game. Oh and by the way, Thunder Collins, did you have to go NWA on a dude the week of a game, where was this in June. If I were a "G", I would so prefer a nice June evening to go jack sum fools in the hood cuz Im hot on these streets. I am just kidding, had I been on that street of the shooting, I would have hid under a Hello Kitty blanket while singing "This Little Light of Mine"....at any rate, this is not good press for the team, but even worse for Thunder, I know he had been up against it before, I hope it wasnt you man.
I leave you with no Big 12 preview because I have to get back to my Sudoku and tea, but I would not leave you without a prediction would I.............
Check this first.......
After watching that, it is clear, the difference between that, and Va Tech highlite reel is that ours culminate into trophies and legends, theirs into "what could be"...and that friends still exists in Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, and will in turn power our team to victory. NU 30 - VT 17

Sleepy off week guys, well sorry it took me so long for this but I got distracted. After I got out of jail, it took me a few days to remember my password, but I am back.
Good win last week vs New Mex St. We did what we should do to that team and we ended any conversation about our ability to adjust, we actually adjust during the game. I know, crazy says COZ, but it worked!! We were able to make quick work of the Lobos or the Wildcats or whatever. I am just relieved that we were able to dominate all 3 phases for once.
This will be a short post cuz I have to send my probation officer some fruitcake, but I can tell you I am jacked for this weekend. Coach Pelini will have the boyz stacked up and ready, and I will be putting together my game post for an extra long look at this week, the big 12 and Virginia Tech. GBR.
I leave you now with a sweet moment in hip-hop history, it's hot on these streets, check it.......(T-Fraz is in tha house a once again)......

OK, so we have San Jose State this weekend. (crickets) Well I know it sounds boring but it really shoud be cool, why you ask? Well, if nothing else that the lack of respect shown to us by the Spartan head coach and administration. See below......
As the story reads.. "This was supposed to be
Tennessee Week for San Jose State. The Spartans were supposed to play
Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday. But Coach Dick Tomey wanted no part
of the Volunteers, so he scheduled Nebraska at Nebraska instead. Its crazy to go to Nebraska,'' Tomey said Tuesday. "But it's double-crazy to go to Tennessee.'' He thinks the Spartans can beat Nebraska, and he's right. Double-right."
Okay, I hate to break it o you San Jose, but you are not good. You needed a last second touchdown to defeat Cal Davis (Div 1AA) last week, AT HOME. Now last year we did suk, but we would have beat you by 70 points with Coz and crew. So the only beef I have with them is, shut up, and play. Dont give our guys fuel. You cannot beat Nebraska, your coach is either on heroin or feeding you heroin, either way, you are dillusional. I, nor any other respectable sports fan would say that you have a chance, so your coach should not do that either. Point taken too, we are not as good as Tennessee most likely, but you are SAN JOSE STATE. You are in the WAC, and you are not that good in the WAC either. Ther reporter for the Spartan Times or whatever, is also hallucinating. Someone shold tell him that Al Bundy can beat Michael Phelps, or that Perez Hilton can take Kobe off the dribble. Idiot.
It is not that I dont like San jose State, I am just ignorant about what they do there and what they are about, and that is really like the rest of America. So please stop this, it makes you an easier target than you already are. I am sure you have nice people there with good teams.......
The WAC is deteriorating, and I could not help but pile on San jose after seeing the commercial, terrible marketing. The commercial that I saw for the WAC (Western Athletic Conference) had some slow track guy running, some girl in a lab, pan to a pitcher checking his sign, then a shot of Colt Brennan tossing his 100th pass on the San Jose State defense, then some toad gets ont he screen and says "the Western Athletic Conference.....Who's Next?" ....What?.... I will tell you who is next, his name starts with a "Cody" and ends with a "Glenn", and he will probably place a size 13 Addidas in the groin of your QB.
I cant even do my mandatory 3 observations becasue there is no need, NU 57 -SJS 10. NEXT
